2021 CPS Commencement
Fenway Park is just as cool to me today as it was when I moved to Boston 8 years ago. Sports fan or not, the historical significance to this place is undeniably awesome. Northeastern University capitalized on that awesomeness and held several graduation ceremonies there this year! I was fortunate enough to receive a call from a mentor and colleague, Julio, to help shoot one of these ceremonies.
For this shoot, I boom op’d and shot b-roll. As boom operator, I got some nice clean recording by running a Rode NTG-2 into a Zoom FX6. The camera rig I shot with was a Sony A7III with the Sony 16-55 f2.8 on a Crane 3 Lab. The wide and audience perspective shots in the video are mine!
Co-leading the crew was my new friend, Shun “Sam” Liang. Sam is a local DP, photographer, and digital media guru and you should check out his work on his website. Working with great folks like Sam and Julio in a historic venue is an experience I’m going to cherish for a long time.
